Wound Clinic
Do you have a wound that’s taking a long time to heal? Our chronic wound care practitioners can assess your wound and develop a personalised plan to help manage and treat your wound.
The Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) in collaboration with Bundall Medical Centre provides a wound clinic service for patients of the Gold Coast region who suffer with a chronic or complex wounds. To clarify, these are defined as sores or wounds that have not significantly improved from conventional treatments.
This service is provided by Nurse Practitioner, Nicola Morley, a highly experienced wound and vascular nurse. In addition, Nicola is supported by our General Practitioner Dr Stephen Yelland who has a special interest in wound management.
For example, our services include:
- Assessment of chronic non-healing wounds
- Vascular assessment of lower limb
- Debridement of chronic wounds
- Non-surgical advanced healing technologies
To maintain a close relationship with your usual GP, we prefer a referral from your regular GP.
Furthermore, the clinic also maintains close links with allied health, private specialists and tertiary services. As a result, this achieves the proven benefits of a multidisciplinary approach to wound healing.
